Recently, the joint application by Jiaxing University and Hungary’s Széchenyi István University for a distinctive “Chinese + New Technology” Confucius Institute has been officially approved. This marks a significant milestone in the university’s internationalization efforts, highlighting breakthroughs in integrating international Chinese education with industry-academia-research collaboration. The initiative injects fresh momentum into the university’s strategic goal of becoming a comprehensive, high-level institution with distinct characteristics and innovative capabilities.

Since establishing ties in 2019, the two universities have maintained frequent exchanges and co-founded the China-Central & Eastern Europe Economic and Cultural Research Center. Over the years, Jiaxing University has accumulated extensive experience in international student cultivation, scientific research, community services, cultural heritage innovation, and global partnerships, providing systematic and comprehensive support for the operation of the Confucius Institute.

Moving forward, Jiaxing University will continue to pool superior resources, deepen international collaboration, and align with regional development goals to advance the high-standard construction of the Confucius Institute. This endeavor aims to forge a new emblem of the university’s global engagement, serve as a bridge for China-Hungary cultural exchanges, and emerge as a prominent platform for promoting Chinese culture worldwide.
