To stimulate the interest of international students in learning Chinese at our school and enhance their understanding of Chinese language and culture. On December 21st, the Learning Department of International Student Union planned and held the first “Chinese Corner” event. This event attracted more than 20 international students to participate.

During the activity, all students were randomly divided into four groups and engaged in a series of Chinese language games. In the “Kahoot” game, sentence comprehension multiple-choice questions are randomly presented on the screen, and each group of students takes turns answering them. Next, the students played games such as “megaphone” and “sentence relay” one after another. Through these fun and challenging games, international students have gradually deepened their understanding of Chinese and further experienced the profoundness of Chinese culture.

With the end of the game, the event entered the award and summary stage. The host announced the rankings of each group in this event and awarded them small prizes.

At the end of the event, Teacher Yao Weixin summarized the activity and emphasized the importance of learning Chinese in international life. He encouraged everyone to actively participate in such activities, to improve their Chinese language proficiency, and to enhance their understanding of Chinese culture.

In the future, our college will further guide the International Student Union to carry out various characteristic stylistic activities. Further more, our college will actively build platforms for communication and learning, and enrich the innovative paths for international students’ comprehensive quality cultivation and cross-cultural adaptation.
