XXXV IULTCS Congress 2019 was held in Dresden from June 26th to June 28th. As an only undergraduate, Luo Ruhui, a student from College of Material and Textile Engineering of JXU gave a lecture entitled “Cleaner Chrome Tanning-Technology of Chrome-less Tanning without salt, pickling and short procedure” at the congress. Besides, three papers, two poster sessions and one speech paper were submitted by College of Material and Textile Engineering as well.
College of Material and Textile Engineering of JXU showed its achievements in the major of Light Chemical Engineering and international school-enterprise cooperation at the congress, whereby it lays a good foundation for the connotation and international development of Light Chemical Engineering major.
The IULTCS was founded for the purpose of encouraging technology, chemistry and science of leather on a worldwide basis. According to the IULTCS statutes, the aims of the Union are to foster cooperation between member societies, to hold congresses to enhance the advancement of leather science and technology, to form commissions for special studies and to establish international methods of samples and testing leather and materials associated with leather manufacture.
